A visit to Sagolandet Tomteland Mora (2) gives you the chance to step inside Santa’s own house and experience adventures in the forest gnome village, the trolls’ realm, the elves’ lands, Hälgeland, and other magical places. tomteland cats, Tomten’s reindeer, Tomtemor’s aquarium fish, and Princess Fia-Lotta’s frogs. In the summer, goats, ducks, chickens, and rabbits join the guests.
Places to visit near Lake Siljan
Around Lake Siljan and in every direction, there is plenty to see and do with the kids.
In the old mining area around Solberga (3), there are many mine shafts and remnants of winding wheels and shaft galleries. There are hiking trails here, including shorter routes suitable for families with children.
Gesundaberget (4), located halfway between Leksand and Mora, offers magnificent views of Lake Siljan and the wilderness. There are also various activities available here in both summer and winter.
On the beautiful island of Sollerön (5), you can visit two Viking-era burial grounds featuring cairns, mounds, and stone circles. Be sure to stop by Sollerö Jordgubbar to buy fresh strawberries and perhaps enjoy a coffee break while the kids play at the playground.

The idyllic and colorful artist's home, Carl Larsson-gården in Sundborn (6), offers guided tours for children, children's theater, and an open arts and crafts workshop.
At the Zorn Museum in Mora (2), creative activities are taking place in the Children’s Workshop throughout the summer. During the summer, you can also join “The Time Travel” – a historical adventure: a dramatized tour of Zorn’s old farmstead.

Falu Mine
Guided children’s tours at Falu Mine (7) offer an exciting underground adventure filled with fascinating stories. The “Superstitions and Legends” tour is highly recommended! Above ground, there are interactive exhibits at the Mining Museum, and a ride on the Little Mine Train through the mine grounds is included in the ticket price.
Heart-pumping activities indoors and outdoors
In Borlänge (8), you can bounce around indoors at the Yoump trampoline park and go swimming at the Aqua Park water park .
Try to avoid the gutter at the Rättvik bowling alley, or race down the Rättvikbacken toboggan run at full speed. By the way, strolling (or cycling) along the long pier is a must when you’re in Rättvik (9). Falun (7) has become something of a cycling mecca, with the MTB arena at Lugnet as its hub.
At Leksand Resort, you can play beach volleyball, and Leksand Sommarland offers many physical activities, such as a BMX pump track, a climbing wall, a jump park, and a water obstacle course. (10)
