Purpose of the booking terms
Our booking terms are designed to ensure that both we as the provider and you as the guest feel secure in our agreement.Please read this carefully and notify us immediately if anything is not in order.

1. General rules.
By making a purchase, you agree to comply with our booking terms and conditions and to follow the instructions of our staff.
1.1 In order to book and stay with us at Leksand Resort without a guardian, you and everyone else in your party must be at least 20 years of age.

Please note: 25-year age limit over Midsummer! Valid ID must be presented at check-in and upon request. Exceptions are made for families with children.
1.2 For your safety and that of other guests, we do not disclose personal, contact, or order information to third parties. Exceptions are made for the police, prosecutors, billing companies, or similar.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse you, your belongings, and your companions entry to Leksand Resort if the terms and conditions are not followed. You will then lose your right to use the accommodation you have purchased or to receive a refund.
1.4 Leksand Resort is not responsible for the behavior of other guests, but we reserve the right to take action against guests who do not comply with our rules of conduct and order. No financial compensation will be given for inconvenience caused by other guests.

2. When does my booking become binding?
A binding agreement is entered into immediately upon booking, regardless of the channel through which the booking is made (e.g., by telephone, email, website, or at the reception desk) and regardless of whether it is a verbal or written booking.

3. Booking fee
No booking fee is charged for bookings made via our website www.leksandresort.se. For bookings made by other means than the website, a booking fee of 185 SEK per campsite/cottage will be charged, unless otherwise agreed.

4. Payment

4.1 If your stay is booked less than 40 days before arrival, all payment must be made directly with Visa/Mastercard or in installments via Riverty Sweden AB, where payment is made directly to Riverty.
4.2 If your stay is booked more than 40 days before arrival, you can choose to pay in installments with Riverty Sweden AB, where payment is made directly to Riverty, or choose to pay by invoice and pay later.
4.3 When paying by invoice, a registration fee must be paid within 10 days of booking and the remainder must be paid no later than 40 days before arrival. The payment due dates are shown in your confirmation.
4.4 The invoice/rent must always be paid before arrival.
4.5 In order to offer different payment options, we need to share your personal, contact, and order details with the provider of the respective payment service.

5. What happens if I don't pay on time?
5.1 If you do not pay for your booking within the specified time, a reminder will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. A reminder fee of 49 SEK will be added. The booking will then be canceled unless full payment is received by us no later than the due date stated on the reminder.
5.2 In the event of repeated reminders for unpaid invoices, your case may be forwarded to a debt collection agency.

6. Rebooking
6.1 A rebooking fee of 150 SEK applies to rebookings, which are subject to availability.
6.2 No changes or refunds are possible within 48 hours of the specified check-in time or during your stay.
6.3 The easiest way to rebook is to email us. Email us your booking number and the desired change, and we will help you.

7.Entrance tickets
Entrance tickets booked in connection with accommodation are always date-specific. Please note that entrance tickets are only valid on the day/days stated on your booking confirmation. Two-day tickets are always valid for two consecutive days and cannot be split. Rebooking is only possible if there is space available during the same calendar year/opening hours.
7.1 Free rebooking is available up to 48 hours before the first day of admission. For rebooking within 48 hours and up to 23:59 before the first day of admission, a rebooking fee of 95 SEK per ticket will be charged.
7.2 If you cancel your admission tickets within 48 hours and up to 23:59 before the first day of admission, a cancellation fee of 195 SEK per ticket will be charged.
7.3 Admission tickets that have not been used cannot be repurchased or replaced afterwards.

8.Packages and offers
8.1 New packages and offers are only valid for new bookings. For bookings that have already been made, no rebooking/refund can be made to another/new package. In such cases, the regular cancellation rules for the existing booking apply. See section 9.
8.2 Date-specific packages and/or offers cannot be rebooked/booked outside the validity period.
8.3 Discount codes are only valid for new bookings, must be applied at the time of booking, and cannot be added retrospectively.

9. Cancellation
On the website, cancellation protection is pre-selected and must be actively declined.
The protection cannot be added or removed after payment has been made.

Cancel without cancellation insurance
9.1 If you cancel more than 40 days before arrival, you will only pay the registration fee (20% of the total amount). If you cancel 40 days or less before arrival, no refund will be given, regardless of the reason.

Cancel with cancellation protection
9.2 If you cancel with cancellation protection, you can cancel without reason up to 48 hours before the specified check-in time. You will then receive a refund of your payment, minus the cancellation protection fee and any booking fees.
9.3 Upon presentation of a valid certificate of serious illness, death, accident, or serious incident affecting you, a relative, or your home, you may cancel up to 10:00 a.m. on the day of arrival. The certificate must be sent to us within 14 days of the cancellation. Only then will the rental amount be refunded, minus the cancellation insurance and any booking fees.
9.4 Any cancellations must be made by email to us. Email us your booking number and we will help you.

10. Early departure
We do not refund any money if you choose to end your stay earlier than planned. As soon as a guest has checked out, Leksand Resort has the right to rent out the site or cottage.

11. Responsibilities and obligations
11.1 You are responsible for reading through your booking confirmation/invoice and booking terms and conditions/purchase terms and conditions and ensuring that the dates and property number are correct.
11.2 Guests stay and rest at all times of the day. To ensure the comfort and respect of other guests, it is important to avoid loud noises, shouting, or other disruptive behavior at all times of the day.
Silence must be observed between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. every day. To protect both guests and staff, we reserve the right to refuse accommodation to you and your party if necessary.
11.3 If you or anyone in your party damages anything in the booked accommodation or the facility, you will be charged for the cost of the damage. We reserve the right to take further action if necessary.
11.4 Smoking is prohibited in all accommodations and common areas. Any pet restrictions will be stated at the time of booking. Violation of the above will result in a fee and, if necessary, the full cost of cleaning and compensation for lost income during the time the accommodation cannot be rented out.
11.5 If you or someone in your party causes security guards or other staff to be called out due to a confirmed violation of the facility's rules of conduct or booking conditions, a fee (from 1,000 SEK) will be charged.
11.6 You are responsible for returning all keys received at check-in when you check out. If a key is lost, you will be charged a fee for replacing the lock (2,000 SEK).
11.7 It is not permitted to sublet or lend the accommodation you have rented. No more people may stay overnight in the booked accommodation than was specified at the time of booking or in a separate written agreement with us. In the event of unauthorized subletting, we further reserve the right to hold you responsible for the subtenant's and their companions' violation of the terms and conditions applicable under the agreement between us and you.
11.8 Camping/tents are only permitted in designated areas, not near cabins or in parking lots, and only one vehicle per site, including tents.

12. Special rules and necessary information for renting a campsite/tent site
12.1 Check-in for booked campsites/tent sites can be done from 1:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-out must be done no later than 12:00 p.m. on the day of departure. Unless otherwise agreed. In the event of a violation, a new daily fee will be charged, as well as a fee corresponding to the costs we have incurred in connection with this.
12.2 In addition to one accompanying car, we allow a maximum of one camping unit per booked campsite (i.e., a maximum of one freestanding tent or, alternatively, one caravan or motorhome with accompanying awning or canopy).
12.3 The distance to the electricity pole can be up to 25 meters. Remember to bring an adapter from Schuko (plug) to EU plug (CEE). At sites with water, there may also be a minimum distance of 20 meters to the water connection.
12.4 We reserve the right to move you, if necessary, to an equivalent or better campsite.
12.5 We reserve the right to cut off the power supply in the event of work being carried out on the electricity poles.
12.6 At the end of the booked period, we cannot guarantee that the pitch will be available and that the booking can be extended. If you wish to stay longer, you may have to change pitches.

13. Special Rules and Important Information for Renting a Cottage
13.1 Check-in for a booked cottage is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Check-out must take place no later than 11:00 AM on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. In case of violation, a new daily fee will be charged, as well as a fee corresponding to the costs incurred by us in connection with this.
13.2 Unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation, bed linens, towels, cleaning (including final cleaning), high chairs, or cribs are not included in the rental price.
13.3 All our cottages are self-catering. Dishwashing supplies and 1–2 rolls of toilet paper are provided in the cottage upon arrival (applies to cottages with a toilet).
13.4 At the end of the booked period, we cannot guarantee that the accommodation will be available or that the booking can be extended. If you wish to stay longer, this may mean that you must change accommodations and/or accommodation type.
13.5 In all our accommodations, the use of open flames/fires is prohibited, except in Strandbyn Orsandbaden you may use the existing fireplace. NOTE! Firewood is not included.

14. Departure cleaning
14.1 If you declined departure cleaning when you made your booking (on the website, this is pre-selected and you must actively deselect it), you must clean your accommodation according to the instructions provided in the cottage.
14.2 If you have departure cleaning included in your booking, you must still wash the dishes and put the crockery/kitchen utensils back in the cupboards. Take your rubbish with you and dispose of it in the correct bins at one of our recycling stations. If you have rented bed linen, remove it and leave it in the hall to make it easier for our staff. If this is not done, you may be charged (afterwards).
14.3 Cleaning of rented cottages is not included in the accommodation price, unless otherwise agreed. If the cottage is left uncleaned, you will be charged (afterwards) for the cost of cleaning.

15. Complaints and compensation
15.1 The right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59) does not apply to accommodation agreements, which means that you cannot withdraw from an agreement to rent a cottage or camping site for a tent, caravan, or motorhome. For changes or cancellations of bookings, see sections "6. Rebooking" or "9. Cancellation"
15.2 If your booked accommodation does not meet your expectations, you should immediately contact the reception or on-call service. Complaints and claims must be made promptly and immediately after the defect is discovered, so that we have the opportunity to remedy the problem.
15.3 In order for any compensation to be considered, you must have contacted our staff during your visit and pointed out the problem. If we have not had the opportunity to remedy the situation, you are not entitled to compensation retrospectively.
15.4 If the matter concerns damage to vehicles, theft, or lost/damaged property, we refer you to your insurance company. In the event of circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to move you to equivalent accommodation.
15.5 If we cannot reach an agreement regarding your complaint, you are entitled to contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Complaints (www.arn.se), which conducts impartial reviews of disputes between consumers and businesses.

16. Natural disasters, war, strikes, etc.
Both you and we have the right to terminate the rental agreement if the cottage/camping site cannot be provided due to natural disasters, acts of war, labor disputes, prolonged interruptions in water or energy supply, fire, or similar events that neither you nor we can foresee or influence. In such cases, we are obliged to reimburse you, minus any benefit you may have gained from the cottage/camping site.

17. Lost property
We are not responsible for lost property, such as items left in the area, in service buildings, cabins, restaurants, or other public areas. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have lost or forgotten something. Items that are not collected within a week will be donated or discarded if they are wet, broken, or worthless.

We at Leksand Resort reserve the right to make price changes, printing errors, and changes that are not yet known as of today's date.
