Accessibility
Accessibility at Leksand Resort
Leksand Resort is beautifully situated on a hillside overlooking Lake Siljan and the Dalälven River.
This location offers us fantastic views, proximity to the water, and a scenic natural setting. At the same time, it means there are natural elevation changes and slopes on the grounds that may be challenging for people with limited mobility.
Most of the roads and walkways on the grounds are paved, which ensures easy access between many of our areas. Between the campsites and within certain camping areas, however, the surfaces are not paved but may consist of gravel or grass, for example.
We want to be clear about the facility's conditions and are happy to help you find the housing and location that best suit your needs.

Adventure Golf
At Billy’s Adventure Golf, there is both a staircase and a ramp leading down to the course. Around the course, you’ll walk along a narrower, paved path.
Cottages
We currently do not have any cottages that are fully accessible. However, all of our cottages have at least one bedroom, as well as a toilet and shower on the ground floor, which can make things easier for guests with limited mobility.
In Leksandsbyn 1 there are also a few cabins that have been specially adapted to be more accessible. Some of these cabins have wider doorways, no indoor thresholds, and a ramp leading directly into the cabin. Examples: Nos. 2, 4, and 6.
Access to Sommarland
From the reception area at Leksand Resort, a white guide line runs along the entire paved road to Sommarland. The road can be used as a walkway, and the white line also serves as a visual aid that helps people with visual impairments navigate along the route.
If you have any questions about accessibility or would like to learn more about our cabins and facilities, please feel free to contact us before your stay. We’d be happy to help you find the option that best suits your needs.
